Phone Number Identified as SPAM
If you believe your business phone number is currently being flagged as spam on the called party’s caller ID, you can contact their telecommunications provider to review your status. After verification, the spam tag may be removed from your business phone number and your status may be updated.
The recently-passed TRACED (Phone Robocall Abuse Criminal Enforcement and Deterrence) Act, which mandates that phone carriers implement standards to combat robocalling, is also affecting legitimate businesses, since frequent outbound calling can lead to a phone number being flagged as spam. It is important to resolve this issue as it will “follow” you regardless if your VoIP carrier is e-vergent or some other service.
